Situated directly north of Boston, across the Charles River, Cambridge was named in honor of the University of Cambridge in England, once also an important center of the Puritan theology embraced by the town's founders. Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Lesley University, and Hult International Business School are in Cambridge. Kendall Square in Cambridge has been called "the most innovative square mile on the planet" due to the high concentration of successful startups that have emerged in the vicinity of the square since 2010. As of July 2019, Cambridge was the fifth most populous city in Massachusetts.

before applying:

‣ post a backdated screened post and f/o.
‣ write a bio, five detailed facts or provide examples.
‣ if you choose to provide examples, please have your character's name, age/dob and occupation listed in the screened post.

after you are accepted into the community you will have 72 hours to post your intro. all journals must be in-character with no underscores or extra numbers, letters, etc. unrelated to your character's name. pbs must be over the age of 18 years old and please keep your character's age within five years of their pb's age. we do not accept overrides or challenges.

‣ you are required to create two (2) posts per calendar month.
‣ if you are added after the 20th of the month, you only need to create one (1) post (excluding your intro).
‣ if you join the community within the last four (4) days of the month, you only need to post your intro for activity.
‣ please keep your friends list updated. we will conduct mid-month removals for out-of-date friends lists.

we accept any kind of post for activity as long as it shows some effort and engagement. please do not submit one liner posts or a post without all comments responded to. please do not wait until the last two days of the month to post your activity. at least one post must have comments enabled. please make sure you are welcoming new members and commenting posts on the fp as often as possible. please do not abuse hiatuses, extensions and other requests.

we expect our members to be respectful to each other and to exercise common kindness when communicating. if harassment occurs, the in character/out of character line is tested, people are made to feel to uncomfortable as a direct result of what is happening within the community or members are disrespecting people's privacy, please let us know. please provide proof of what is occurring so we have the full picture when addressing a situation.

we do not have a current character limit however we ask you to please consider your level of activity before applying with additional characters. if an existing member plans to bring in additional characters please disclose that in the dropbox when applying so we can expedite your application.

please request pb changes before changing your icons. there is no limit on how many changes you can currently make but please do not abuse this option. we ask that writers consider ethnicity and age when requesting a pb change for an existing character.
